Oh god, Tilarna is wearing a school mizugi.

The people staring wasn't mocking her as much as someone who suggested that to her.

It was probably Kei.

I appreciate the directness of the racism aspect.

Fanservice is strong in this one…

I'm still playing catch-up Ep. 6. So far I have to say it's 6/10. The world is good but not great. The dark tone is definitely a bonus. I generally like Kei and Tilarna, but I gotta say I don't love Tilarna's character design.

Honestly, I would give ti a 5, but I agree with Momogari, I really like the directness of the racism aspect.

I decided to watch it because range murata. I'm a bit disappointed. Range murata does scifi characters well but the triviality and the fanservice kinda killed his best effect.
It's merely ok.

Yeah, Tilarna is pure moe. And a source of fanservice.

For me Kei is a more interesting character.

But I think I enjoy it more than you two do. I'd say it's 7/10 or (probably not) 8/10. I suppose this might be a matter of personal preference, but I think there are the following strong points of it:
- Kei (I think he's a good character. He's positive, but not naive. It's difficult to balance these.)
- I like how they used traditional tropes of American police films/TV series, e.g. the shouting boss.
- The reverse isekai is done well. The way they introduce things from the other world is interesting and "realistic" (if I can use this word, ha ha). It doesn't feel dumb, which is an achievement in itself. (reverse isekai is not very common, I remember that Gate was pretty good at it as well, but I think Cop Craft does it better)
- The characters Kei works with are also ok, e.g. his ex. Issues with ex add realism. So there is a nice balance between non-realism of things from the other world and realism of work of the police. I think it's well balanced. The racism aspect and the politics also add to the realist part.
- The police work is not boring. I'm often bored by police films, but this one is not like that.

I agree with all of that but yeah, it's not super exciting to me.
