IMO it was definitely worth it, but (without spoiling you), I got extremely emotionally invested in the story, now every time I read a new chapter, I'm just going to be impatiently waiting for the next one. I've enjoyed a lot of different Romance/Drama anime, but this feels like it's totally on another level from the others

I know. I've seen the anime. It's a real romance in comparison with things like romantic comedies, school romances (although it is also school-related) and such. That's what makes it different in my opinion. I think the way the author does so many plot twists is amazing.

The problem with most similar stories are that either they bottle it when it comes to the serious stuff, have unrealistic romantic developments or the male MC lacks emotions or are just portrayed to be emotionally invincible so they come off as insensitive in big situations. We need more romance anime that actually treats the protagonist like a human as well
