IV? it does have my favorite dq lady in it, but it isnt for everyone because of the "chapters"
basically, the first few chapters you play as one or two of the eventual party members to get their backstory but each chapter is a different set of people so some dont like then waiting to get back to them/round them all up together
some of these stories are fun and some are tedious af, tbh
i loved them all except one chapter, so i still loved the game myself but can see how it aint for everyone

my favorite dq is a three way tie between viii, xi, and v
tho ix is a close one too, except it was most fun when it was still supported and had dlc maps and you could play with 3 of your friends on each others games via wifi. now it is still quite fun but i do miss the extras
