Probably, depends on how quickly they get new content out and how often they keep it up to date. It looks pretty awesome, but the Sims will be a difficult franchise to break

Its been days and already has so many haters
Advertising themselves as a "sims killer" was such a mistake. Most Sims players prefer gameplay over graphics, people are mass refunding... genuinely think the game would've done better if they'd have just focused on building their own image rather than forcing competition

My other half has been playing it, she was really looking forward to it coming out. I don't think she's not enjoying it, but it's early access so you'd hope theres more to come.
